VISITS & RECEPTION
Push open the doors of Château d’Avelin and discover a majestic place steeped in history, where noble families succeeded one another from the 11th to the 20th century. From 1845 onward, the Rotours family left its mark here, helping the Estate shine through the years.
After a period under the stewardship of the Institut Pasteur, the Château returned to the family thanks to Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, grandson of Baron des Rotours. Renowned for the excellence of his wines, the Baron transformed the cellars into a true living museum dedicated to the vine and the wines from his various Estates.
In 2008, the Château was reborn and unveiled its treasures: exceptional cuvées from some of the finest terroirs in France and Switzerland, presented in a historic and elegant setting. A sensory and cultural experience sure to delight wine and history enthusiasts alike.
Below, you will find the different wine experiences you can enjoy at the Château.
